The Toyota 78 has been an absolute reference in the off-road world since its first Dakar rallies in the 1990s. With its iconic look, unfailing robustness and premium “DKR” level of preparation (straight from the Compagnie Saharienne workshops), it's the perfect tool for racing the Dakar Classic with serenity. It will fully satisfy Dakar novices with its ease of handling and good character (it's forgiving), as well as more experienced riders who will benefit from the great liveliness of DKR models.

— History —

Acquired new from Compagnie Saharienne by the Dakar organization, the 78s were the vehicles dedicated to the extreme off-road missions of the African, South American and Saudi editions.

Now back in our workshops, and after years of preparation based on rally-raid experience, notably on the Dakar Classic, the 78s known as “DKRs” are now available for racing as part of the exclusive Compagnie Saharienne rental offer.

As on each of their starts on the Dakar Classic, all our 78 DKRs have always crossed the finish line. Among them, a victory 🏆 and a third place 🥉 in the H1 Rookies category in 2024, as well as superb P13 and P17 overall in the Dakar that same year.

In the 2025 edition of the Dakar, 100% of our vehicles once again finished the race, with a superb grouping: P14, P15, P18, P19 and P21... out of 96 entries. For these perfect beginners on the track, 4 stage Top 10s... and even 3 category Top 5s. A fabulous year and a source of great pride for Compagnie Saharienne.

Toyota Land Cruiser 100 DKR

Category Racing H3 | Dakar Classic Program

The Toyota 100 has been a must-have since its arrival on the market in the early 2000s, outclassing its ancestor the Toyota 80 in terms of modern design and performance. Building on this base, and equipped with a vehicle with an exceptional racing history, the Compagnie Saharienne team has once again built a machine stamped DKR, made to win the Dakar Classic. It's a jewel that will appeal primarily to drivers with rally-raid experience.

Dual shock absorbers with separate front and rear cartridges
Hydraulic jack system for lifting the machine off its 4 wheels (sand removal, wheel change, mechanical work, etc.)

“DKR” racing dashboard (tablet and cutting-edge navigation software, race information repeater, pilot heading indicator, etc.)

— History —

Built from scratch by the official Toyota Araco factory team (now Autobody official), our machines are used by the team in the African Dakars, where they have won numerous special stages and even a World Championship title. Later, these same models have enabled major modern teams (such as South Racing) to benefit from rapid assistance during races until very recently... Making these Land Cruiser 100s the last non-prototype vehicles to complete the race in the modern category, which they will do systematically until 2020.

Once they arrive at the Compagnie Saharienne competition workshops, the vehicles are completely refurbished and benefit from our deep “DKR” re-preparation. True gems of design, the result of thousands of kilometers of testing, our 100 DKRs now offer a combination of performance and extreme reliability.

During the grand return of our first 100 DKR to racing in 2025, the machine, driven by a novice rally-raid crew, took second place in the H3 category. 🥈

CAN-AM MAVEriCk R SOuth RACING

FIA T4 SSV Category | Dakar Rally Program

The Can-Am Maverick R is the new benchmark for racing SSVs: factory-designed as a modern rally-raid machine, it immediately ranks at the top of the SSV (T4) category. Our model has exactly the same configuration as the Maverick R vehicles used by Team Can-Am Official Factory, and is prepared, serviced, and operated in the Compagnie Saharienne competition workshops. It is the ideal tool for aiming for a high level of performance from your very first Dakar Rally, while benefiting from Compagnie Saharienne's DKR service.

Rotax 3-cylinder 999 cm³ turbocharged engine, 240 hp, specific Dakar mapping by the Can-Am Factory Team
7-speed DCT gearbox with paddle shifters, dual short/long range with shift light on the dashboard
FIA T4 chassis, welded roll cage and safety equipment compliant with FIA / Dakar 2026 regulations (FIA bucket seats, 6-point harness, automatic and manual fire extinguisher, circuit breaker, safety pack, Iritrack equipment, etc.)
Reinforced arms and running gear
Reiger long-travel “factory spec” suspension, sized to withstand a full Dakar at podium pace

Since 2018, the Can-Am x South Racing partnership has dominated the global SSV scene: six consecutive Dakar victories in the SSV category, a string of titles in the W2RC World Championship and the FIA World Baja Cup. The official program now boasts an impressive track record:

The Maverick R marks a new milestone: for the first time, Can-Am is introducing a completely new platform in the SSV category, specifically designed for Saudi Arabia and the modern W2RC. In its first outing, the Maverick R took second place overall in SSV at the 2025 Dakar, with ten stage victories.

The Maverick R offered by Compagnie Saharienne is the result of this official partnership: same South Racing base, same performance philosophy, but developed together and dedicated to your Dakar project. You therefore benefit from the combined experience of South Racing and our racing expertise: a machine ready to finish the Dakar... and compete for victory in SSV if you have the ambition to aim for the podium.
