Toyota Land Cruiser 78 DKR

Category Collection H1

The Toyota 78 has been an absolute reference in the off-road world since its first Dakar rallies in the 1990s. With its iconic look, unfailing robustness and premium “DKR” level of preparation (straight from the Compagnie Saharienne workshops), it's the perfect tool for racing the Dakar Classic with serenity. It will fully satisfy Dakar novices with its ease of handling and good character (it's forgiving), as well as more experienced riders who will benefit from the great liveliness of DKR models.

 — Features (fully standardized for Dakar)

- Toyota 6-cylinder engine, 4.2L displacement, atmospheric intake, 150 hp developed

- Front and rear rigid axles

- Front coil-spring and rear leaf-spring suspension

- "DKR" racing dashboard

- Safety features of the 2025 technical regulations

History —

Acquired new from Compagnie Saharienne by the Dakar organization, the 78s were the vehicles dedicated to the extreme off-road missions of the African, South American and Saudi editions.

Now back in our workshops, and after years of preparation based on rally-raid experience, notably on the Dakar Classic, the 78s known as “DKRs” are now available for racing as part of the exclusive Compagnie Saharienne rental offer.

As on each of their starts on the Dakar Classic, all our 78 DKRs have always crossed the finish line. Among them, a victory 🏆 and a third place 🥉 in the H1 Rookies category in 2024, as well as superb P13 and P17 overall in the Dakar that same year.

In the 2025 edition of the Dakar, 100% of our vehicles once again finished the race, with a superb grouping: P14, P15, P18, P19 and P21... out of 96 entries. For these perfect beginners on the track, 4 stage Top 10s... and even 3 category Top 5s. A fabulous year and a source of great pride for Compagnie Saharienne.

Toyota Land Cruiser 100 DKR

Category Racing H3

The Toyota 100 has been a must-have since its arrival on the market in the early 2000s, outclassing its ancestor the Toyota 80 in terms of modern design and performance. Building on this base, and equipped with a vehicle with an exceptional racing history, the Compagnie Saharienne team has once again built a machine stamped DKR, made to win the Dakar Classic. It's a jewel that will appeal primarily to drivers with rally-raid experience.

 — Features (fully standardized for Dakar)

- Toyota 6-cylinder engine, 4.2L displacement, turbocharged intake, 270 hp developed

- Dual shock absorbers with separate front and rear cartridges

- System of hydraulic cylinders to lift the machine from its 4 wheels (sand removal, wheel change, mechanics...)

- Carbon fiber body

- "DKR” racing dashboard

- Safety features as per 2025 technical regulations

History —

Built new by the official Toyota Araco factory team (now Autobody), the machine was entered for the team on the African Dakars, with numerous special stage victories to its credit. It also acts as a “showcase vehicle”, built in the same style as the racing models, but with kilometers of track to spare.

Subsequently owned by the experienced Philippe Raud, a member of the Compagnie Saharienne assistance team, the vehicle was completely refurbished. Philippe brings to this factory machine his immense knowledge of the Dakar, preparing a vehicle with an exceptional performance-reliability ratio. It was during this period in particular that the hydraulic cylinders were integrated. At the wheel, Philippe provides rapid assistance on the Dakar Rally for major companies such as South Racing, making this Toyota the last non-prototype vehicle to finish the race, which it systematically completes.

On its grand return to racing in 2025, our 100 DKR piloted by a crew new to rally-raid, took second place in the H3 category. 🥈

🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆 An outstanding performance accompanied by 5 stage wins.
